My wife and I were married in 1961. My wife is Mexican (Legal US resident) and I'm American. We lived in the US for 8 years and my wife learned English well by reacting with the community and taking pains to learn the language well. We’re both university trained. We moved to Mexico in 1969 where we both worked and raised 5 children. When the kids and grandkids moved to the US we followed. I teach English and Spanish at the local community college and my wife works as a court interpreter for the Washoe County District Attorney. We still do translations and since neither of us works full-time we have the time. In Mexico we began a translation service and worked for several years on translating a U.S.-based graphic arts magazine into Spanish. We also translated all the Latin-American airport use contracts for Continental Airlines, two complete books for individuals, advertising materials, industrial machine maintenance manuals and articles for local newspapers among other projects.
We're quick, accurate, and able to respond quickly to translation needs. We can provide output on hard copy or electronic means such as removable disks or via the Internet in MS Office format depending on the originating document(s). We have our own home network with a DSL line.
We can provide output either following the original format such as in birth/marriage/death certificates, advertising, book excerpts, etc. or in the standard one-inch margins @ 12 pt. Sans Serif typeface. It depends on the client and what said client would like to see as a finished product.
